• The world market consumes 80 million barrels of crude oil per day (42 gallons per barrel).
• Bumping the United States from first place, China is now the top consumer of crude oil. Consuming over 25% of the world’s oil supply.
• Each American citizen uses approximately three gallons of crude oil per day.
• The U.S. oil consumption is expected to grow by 50% in the next 20 years.
• The U.S. imports approximately 60% of the 20 million barrel a day oil habit.
• Americans collectively spend about $200,000 per minute to pay for that oil.
• 95% of the world’s oil production is used for transportation purposes.
• BioDiesel is the first and only alternative fuel to have fully completed the “Health Effects” testing requirement of The Clean Air Act of 1990.
• Demand for BioDiesel to increase 32% BY 2008, according to the Freedonia Group, Inc. study “Gasoline and Other Fuel Additives.” BioDiesel will be the fastest growing of all fuel categories.
• In the next decade, BioDiesel growth to reach 2 billion gallons annually, that is 33 times the current production and would displace 24 million barrels of crude oil.
• The Federal BioDiesel tax incentive is expected to provide an economic surge in the manufacturing, agriculture and support services to these industries, it is estimated that 50,000 jobs over the next 10 years will be created in the good old U.S.A. God Bless America!
